Educational Requirements: SSC/SSLC + ITI/NTC/NAC First Class (i.e. at least 60%) in Instrument Mechanic (Chemical Plant).

Selection Process:
• The qualification prescribed is the minimum requirement and possession of the same does not
automatically make candidates eligible for further evaluation for selection. There will be an initial
screening based on the on‐line application. The criteria for screening will include factors such as
percentage/class in Degree/Diploma, experience, etc. vis‐à‐vis number of total applications or any
other criteria as decided by the Director, PRL.
• If required, Written Test will be given for short listing the applications. There will be Skill (Trade) Test of
screened‐in candidates, which will be followed by Personal Interview. Candidates who qualify in the
Written/Skill(Trade) Test, as per the norms decided by PRL only will be interviewed. Right to waive test
is reserved with PRL, if so decided. Candidates who are not qualified for Interview after
Written/Skill(Trade) Test, will not be paid TA.
• The candidates scoring 60% or more marks shall be considered as suitable for final selection.
• Screened in candidates need to send/upload the documentary evidences of online inputs pertaining to
Date of Birth/Educational qualification Mark sheets & Degree/Experience & Caste certificates
substantiating period/salary/posts etc, when asked for.
Travelling Allowance:
• Outstation candidates called for interview/qualified after written test only, will be paid to and fro
Sleeper Class train fare by the shortest route from the address given in the web application to the place
of interview or bus fare, whichever is less, on production of proof of journey such as the Railway Ticket
Number(s)/PNR Number(s) or Bus Ticket(s), etc. If the candidate travels in a higher class than the one
prescribed, only Sleeper Class train fare excluding reservation charges will be paid.
Other Conditions/Instructions:
• As the applications are invited online, we expect candidates to determine their eligibility first on notified
norms and apply only if fulfilling the prescribed eligibility condition. The application/ candidature/
selection is liable to be treated cancelled/ withdrawn/ terminated at any stage of recruitment process, if
candidates are found in breech of any advertised norms of eligibility/ experience/ qualification/ caste or
any other yardstick.
• Selected candidate will be posted to work at any office of Physical Research Laboratory and is liable to
be transferred to work anywhere in India, in the interest of PRL.
• The appointee will be governed by the New Pension Scheme.
• PRL provides to its employees facilities like Contributory Health Service Scheme, LTC, Group insurance,
etc.
• Candidates called for interview will have to produce all relevant original documents in proof of details
furnished in their applications submitted on‐line, at the time of interview. If any information furnished
on‐line is found to be wrong, false or not substantiated with appropriate documentary evidence, the
candidate will not be interviewed and No TA will be paid.
• Only Indian nationals need apply.
• PRL reserves the right not to fill up the post, if it so decides.
