GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS
1. Senior Residents
As per Residency Scheme & vide circular no 121/26/2010/H&FW/DSHFW/1996-2045 dated
10.06.11 issued by the Deputy Secretary(H&FW), Health & Family Welfare Department, Govt. of
NCT of Delhi.
(a) In the Specialties where there is perpetual shortage or in specialties where no fresh candidates
are available, candidates who have completed 3 years senior residency but are willing to serve
as Senior Residents may also be allowed to appear in the interview. Separate merit lists for
fresh candidates and for others(those who have completed 3 years of senior residency already)
would be prepared. Firstly, the list containing names of fresh candidates would be exhausted
for appointment as senior residents and the second list would be used only after that. Further,
all senior resident appointments from second list will be for one year only. It would not be
renewable after one year.
(b) Inter Hospital/Inter Institutional transfer shall not be permitted
(c) The candidates who are already in Govt. Service should submit NOC
(d) The candidates who are working on Adhoc basis in GTBH shall have to apply afresh.
(e) Their service will be governed by the Residency Scheme.
(f) No correspondence or personal enquiries shall be entertained.
(g) No TA/DA will be paid for the interview.
2. Junior Residents (MBBS)
 As per residency Scheme & vide circular no. 121/26/2010/H&FW/DSHFW/1996-2045 dated
10.06.11 issued by the Deputy Secretary(H&FW), Health & Family Welfare Department, Govt. of
NCT of Delhi.
(a) Junior Residents who have completed one year of Junior Residency may be allowed to again
appear for interview for selection and will be offered residency only if no fresh candidates are
available. There would be no extension for any junior resident beyond one year of
appointment under relaxed provisions. Separate merit lists for fresh candidates and for others
(those who have completed 1 year of junior residency already) would be prepared. Firstly, the
list containing names of fresh candidates would be exhausted for appointment as junior
residents and the second list would be used only after that. Further, all Junior Resident
appointments from second list will be for one year only. It would not be renewable after one
year.
(b) Inter Hospital/Inter Institutional transfer shall not be permitted

(d) The candidates who are working on Adhoc basis in GTBH shall have to apply afresh.

No TA/DA will be paid for the interview. The application fee in form of demand draft may be
accepted @ Rs. 500/- for Unreserved and OBC candidates (no fee for SC/ST/PH candidates).
OTHER INSTRUCTIONS:
(1) All the column in application must be filled properly as incomplete applications are liable to be
rejected summarily.
(2) The application must be received in the office i.e. Establishment-I Branch, Room no. 331, IIIrd
Floor, Administrative Block, GTBH on or before 05.09.2013 by 1:00P.M.*Applications received
after the closing date and time will not be considered
(3) All the required certificates duly self attested by the applicant must be attached with the
application. The candidates must have their original certificates with them at the time of
interview to show the Members of Selection Board if they desired so. *Please Note that any
discrepancy pertaining to the documents may invite cancellation of offer of appointment as
well as legal action under the relevant provisions of Indian Penal Code(IPC).
(4) Enclosures as mentioned herein under are to be attached with the applications: (a) Demand
Draft of Rs. 500/- for UR and OBC only (b) Date of Birth certificate(X-standard)(c) Delhi Medical
Council registration (d)MBBS/MD/MS/DNB/Dip. Certificate alongwith mark sheets (e) Attempt Certificate (f) Internship completion certificate(g) Degree of MBBS/MD/MS/ DNB/Diploma (h)
Caste certificate (i) Experience certificates, if any
(5) OBC Candidates are required to submit their caste certificate (issued before the date of
submission of application) by the Competent Authority of GNCT of Delhi.
(6) SC/ST certificate issued from the Judicial/Revenue-Authorities as per Notice in M.H.A O.M No.
42/21/49-NGS dt. 28.01.1952 as Revised by the Deptt. Of pension & A.R Letter No. 36012/6/71-
Estt.(SCT) Dated 29.10.77 shall be accepted.
(7) Physically disabled candidates will be eligible for 3% reservation in the concerned category &
there will be no application fee.
(8) Tenure of the post of Junior Resident (MBBS) is maximum one year under residency scheme.
However initial appointment will be made for a period of 06/Six months which may be
extended for further six months on the basis of satisfactory work & conduct report. It will be
discretion of the appointing authority to post the JRs in any of the departments of the hospital
in case of exigency of work, even between the period of six months.
(9) List of eligible candidates for interview shall be displayed on Hospital’s Notice Board opposite
Room no. 331 on the date of interview. No separate call letter for interview will be issued from
the hospital.
(10) List of the selected candidates will be displayed on notice board.
(11) The selected candidates will report for duty within the period of 07 days from the date of the
receipt of the letter. Candidature may be cancelled in case of non compliance for reporting in
prescribed time.
(12) All the selected candidates will have to produce their original certificates at the time of joining.
Any type of discrepancy may invite cancellation of appointment and legal action as per the
rules.
Jurisdiction of disputes:
In case of any legal dispute the jurisdiction of court will be Delhi/New Delhi only.
Note: All the Adhoc Senior Residents as well as Junior Residents working in GTB Hospital
should apply for the appointment on Regular Basis. The application should be forwarded and
recommended by the concerned HOD’s. The applications without recommendations of the
HOD’s are liable to be rejected summarily considering their performance unsatisfactory during
Adhoc tenure.
