Pay Scale: Rs.37400-67000 + Academic Grade Pay Rs.10500/- + NPA
Educational Requirements: i. A medical qualification included in the first or second schedule or part-II of the third schedule to the Indian Medical Council Act of 1956 (person possessing qualifications included in the part-II of the third schedule should also fulfil the conditions specified in the sub section (3) of the section 13 of the Act. ii. A postgraduate qualification e.g. M.D or a recognised qualification equivalent thereto in the respective discipline/subject.
Qualifications: The candidate must be registered with the Central/State Medical Council.
Experience Requirements: Fourteen years teaching and/or research experience in recognized Institution in the subject of speciality after obtaining the qualifying degree of M.D or qualification recognised equivalent thereto.

Pay Scale: Professor: Pay Band 4 (`37400-67000) with the minimum pay of `51600/- and Academic Grade Pay of `10500/- + NPA Associate Professor: Pay Band 4 (`37400-67000) subject to minimum Pay being `42800/- and Academic Grade Pay `9000/- + NPA Assistant Professor: Pay Band 3 (`15600-39100); minimum Pay to be fixed at `30000/- with Academic Grade Pay of `8000/- + NPA (No Medical Faculty – No NPA) (Plus other allowances as admissible under Govt. of India Rules) Age: Not exceeding 50 years (as on 28.06.2013)
General Information:
1 Applicants already in employment in Government/Semi-Government/Corporate Bodies should route their applications through their employers or produce No Objection Certificate (NOC).
2 In case applicants willing to join the Institute on deputation he/she may also apply accordingly. The qualification & experience for the applicant willing to join the Institute on deputation will be: persons working in analogous post or post one level below shall be eligible for consideration provided they fulfil the requisite qualification & experience prescribed for direct recruit. The period of deputation shall ordinarily not exceed 3 (three) years at a time. The pay of the Faculty Members will be protected as per Govt. of India Rules. Upper age limit for candidate willing to come on deputation should not exceed 56 years as on 28.06.2013.
3 Applicants are required to ensure their eligibility in all respects before applying.
4 Mere fulfilling the minimum educational qualification and experience doesn’t bestow right to a candidate to be called for interview.
5 Accommodation will be provided to the Faculty members appointed at the Institute, subject to availability of quarters
6 AC second class train fare to and fro to the place of interview will be paid on production of tickets to the candidates who are called for interview.
7 Reservation for SC/ST/OBC will be as per Govt. of India norms.
8 Relaxation of upper age limit for SC/ST/OBC/Ex-serviceman/Handicapped/disabled candidates will also be allowed as per Govt. Rules, where reservations of posts are meant for these categories only.
9 Upper age limit is Relaxable by 5 years for Govt. servants in accordance with instruction of Govt. of India.
10 The decision of the Institute’s authority in respect of selection shall be final and no correspondence in this regard will be entertained.
11 Canvassing of any kind will be a disqualification.
12 A candidate has to submit separate applications, if he/she desires to apply for more than one post.
13 The appointment to the said post will be subject to medical fitness from the competent medical board for which he/she will be sent to the designated medical authority.
14 Incomplete applications will not be considered.
15 Institute reserves the right to reject or accept any candidature without assigning any reason thereof.
16 The number of posts may be increased/decreased depending upon the requirement at the time of interview.
17 Relaxation in experience, if any, shall be exclusively at the discretion of Standing Selection Committee at the time of Interview.
18 The effective date up-to which the requisite experience must be completed is 31.12.2013.
19 The Institute will not be responsible for non-receipt/late receipt of any communication send by the candidates due to postal delay/lost in transit.
