consultancy/research project(s) under the Dr Arun Kumar, Principal investigator, Alternate Hydro Energy Centre,
Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee.
1. Title of project: Cumulative Environment Impact Assessment of Hydropower Projects on River Alaknanda and
Bhagirathi and its Tributaries in Uttarakhand
2. Sponsor of the project: Uttarakhand Jal Vidyut Nigam Limited, Dehradun
3. Project position(s) and number:
(a) Project Associate/Research Associate/Project Fellow (Civil Engg./Environmental Engg./Agricultural
Engg./Engineering Geology) - 2 nos.
(b) Project Associate (Analytical Chemistry) - 1 no.
(c) Project Assistant (Technical) - 1 no. (d) Project Attendant (Tech.) - 1 no.
4. Qualifications:
(a) Project Associate B. Tech/B. Arch/M.Sc./M.A.
Research Associate M. Tech/M. Arch/M. B.A. (2 years duration) Ph. D. in Science/Ph.D. in Arts
Project Fellow Ph.D. in Engg/Ph. D. in Science with 2 year experience(After Ph.D)/ Ph. D. in Arts
with 2 year experience (After Ph.D) or M.Tech./MBA+3 year or B.Tech.+6 year experience
(b) Project Associate M.Sc.
(c) Diploma (3 years) duration or ITI with 4 years experience
(d) 12th pass or 10th pass +2 year experience or 8th Pass + 4 years experience
5. Emoluments:
(a) Rs. 20,000/- to Rs. 40,000/- + HRA / Rs. 25,000/ to Rs. 50,000/- + HRA /Rs. 30,000/- to Rs. 70,000/- + HRA
(b) Rs. 20,000/- to Rs. 40,000/- + HRA
(c) Rs. 15,000/- to Rs. 30,000/- + HRA (d) Rs. 8,000/- to Rs. 20,000/- + HRA
6. Duration: Up to the duration of the project
7. Job description :
(a) Sampling, modeling of rivers for water quality, analyzing, interpretation, GIS analysis, report preparation assistance
(b) To carry out routine analysis of water and waste water samples, To assist in the analysis of water and waste
water samples, undertake site visits for sample collection, carrying out analysis and preparation of report
(c) Assist in conducting sampling at sites, assistance in testing, collection of data and assistance in preparing the report
(d) Assist in conducting sampling at sites and analysis and help in lab and other project related work
1. Candidates before appearing for the interview shall ensure that they are eligible for the position they intend to
apply.

 Application in a plain paper with detailed CV including chronological discipline of degree/certificates obtained.
 Experience including research, industrial field and others.
 Attested copies of degree/certificate and experience certificate.
3. Candidate shall bring along with them the original degree(s)/certificate(s) and experience certificate(s) at the time
of interview for verification.
4. Preference will be given to SC/ST candidates on equal qualifications and experience.
5. Please note that no TA/DA is admissible for attending the interview.

interview)
