Pay Scale: Rs.15600- 39100 with AGP of Rs.6,000/- p.m. with 7 non -compounded advance increments and after one year of post Ph.D. experience, he/she shall be placed in the AGP of Rs.7,000/- p.m.

Educational Requirements: Ph.D. with first class at the preceding degree or equivalent in the appropriate branch with a very good academic record throughout the carrier.

Qualifications: Two papers in SCI journals or one patent; may be based on Ph.D. work.

NIT GOA is one of the 10 new NITs setup during XI plan period and is in its fourth year. Applications are invited from individuals who would enjoy the excitement of being associated with the setting up of a “world class teaching and research Institution”. The individual should have a strong commitment for teaching and unequivocal flavor for research. The positions available are at the level of Assistant Professor, Associate Professor and Professor in the regular cadre and on contract basis.

Start up grants shall be provided so as to enable them to attract funding from agencies like DST, CSIR as well as Global foundations and International agencies. Joint R&D programmes with other Institutions and Industry also shall be encouraged. Reservations shall be as per GOI norms.

The broad disciplines in which faculty required are : Electronics and Communication Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering and Mathematics.
