Educational Requirements: Master’s degree from a recognized University in Social Sciences, Journalism and Mass Communications or a related field, having strong editorial and grammar skills in both English and Hindi language as well as knowledge of publishing principles and publication design.
Experience Requirements: At least 5 years’ of experience with research and publications.

Application fee of Rs. 300/ for General/OBC applicants and Rs.150/- for SC/ST applicants
shall be payable in the form of Demand Draft in favour of “Director, Regional Centre for
Urban & Environmental Studies, Lucknow”, payable at Lucknow.
INSTRUCTIONS AND ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Application may be made in the prescribed format (given in Annexure-1) on plain paper
giving full particulars, accompanied by attested copies of Certificates in support of Age,
Educational Qualification and Certificates of reservation, where applicable.
Persons already in Government service should send their application through proper
channel.
The applications may be submitted neatly typed on white paper in double space and typed
on only one side of paper. The envelope of application should be superscribed with:
“Application for the post of ___________________________________. Applications not
conforming to prescribed format will not be entertained.

Experience:
Intermediate from U.P. Board or any equivalent examination.
Knowledge of English and Hindi Typing.

Graduates with diploma in Computer Applications OR Graduate with ‘O’
level certificate from DOEACC with Knowledge of Modern Office
Management and Secretarial practice. Proficiency in use of computers

Only those fulfilling the requirements will be short listed and called for interview. The
selected candidates will be required to join the post within 15 days from the date of issue of
appointment letter.
Original Documents/Certificates relating to age, qualification, experience, reservation etc.
as mentioned in the application form are to be produced along with self attested copies at
the time of Interview. Candidates will not be entitled to receive TA/DA.
Canvassing by candidates in any manner will invite disqualification of their candidature. The
authority reserves all rights to accept or reject all or any of the application and cancel the
selection process without assigning any reason thereof.
For candidates applying on Deputation the following documents may also be sent along with
the application:-
i) A certificate to the effect that the concerned forwarding/parent department/
Ministry has ‘No Objection’ to the appointment of the applicant to the post
applied for in the RCUES, Lucknow
ii) Attested copies of the ACRs for the past five years.
iii) Vigilance Clearance in respect of the applicant, duly signed by the officer of
the appropriate status.
iv) A statement indicating the vigilance cases, if any, pending or contemplated
against the applicant and details of penalties imposed, if any, during the last
5 years.
