Written Test:- Candidates qualifying in Physical Efficiency Test and eligible with respect to
height and chest (both unexpanded and expanded) measurements, will be required to appear for a
written test for 25 marks consisting of 50 objective type questions of ½ mark each for a duration of
35 minutes on the following subjects:- There will be no minus marks for incorrect answers.
(i) Questions relating to Music - 15
(ii) Questions relating to General Awareness - 15
(iii) Questions relating to General Intelligence - 10
(iv) Questions relating to Language (English/Hindi) - 10
Candidates will be required to answer all the questions. The test may be conducted using Optical
Magnetic Reader (OMR) sheets.
C) Trade Test:- The candidates will be subjected to Trade test for 70 marks. The candidates must
bring their-own instrument when appearing for the test.
D) Document verification:- In addition to marks in Written test and Trade test, maximum 5 marks are
granted to candidates on production of original certificates in the following:
Candidates with NCC certificate (B) - 1 mark
Candidates with NCC certificate (C) - 2 marks
Government recognised certificate/diploma/degree in music - 3 marks
Ex-servicemen are not eligible for this benefit.
The candidates called for Trade test and documents verification must produce all original
documents in support of their education, age, SC/ST/OBC status where applicable on the
prescribed format, NCC. Failure to produce the documents will lead to disqualification of the
candidate.
13. Medical examination:- The empanelled persons shall have to pass B-I medical category in the
nominated Railway Hospital
14. The candidates have to attend the recruitment at their-own cost and risk. However, candidates
belonging to SC/ST categories will be issued with free travel authority for to-and free travel from
the nearest Railway station to the place of recruitment as per extant Railway Rules..
15. The decision of the Selection Board on all matters relating to eligibility, place, date, mode of
selection, acceptance or rejection will be final and binding on the candidates.
16. Canvassing and bringing pressure in any form on the Committee will lead to disqualification of the
candidate.
17.The Railway Administration shall not be responsible for postal delay or wrong delivery of the
Application or any Call letter.
