Age Limit: 28 Years
GENERAL CONDITIONS:
1. Relaxation in age limit will be allowed to SC/ST/OBC/PH and other notified categories as per the Govt. of India orders issued from time to time. . However, age relaxation to SC/ST/OBC candidates is allowed only in cases where the posts are reserved for them.
2. Relaxation in age limit up to five years may be allowed to the Council / Government / Autonomous Bodies / Public Sector employees in accordance with the instructions and orders issued by the Government of India from time to time. There is no age limit for departmental candidates, provided they possess the prescribed qualifications.
3. Relaxation in age limit, qualifications and / or experience in case of exceptionally meritorious candidates may be considered. Higher initial pay may be considered for exceptionally meritorious and deserving candidates.
4. The cut-off date for determining the age, qualifications and experience shall be is the last date for receipt of applications.
5. All applications received will be screened and suitable number of candidates will be short listed for test/ interview. Mere fulfillment of essential educational qualifications & experience does not entitle a candidate to be called for test / interview. The decision of the Director, CSIR-CSMCRI, in all matters relating to eligibility, acceptance or rejection of applications, mode of selection etc. will be final and binding on the candidates and no enquiry or correspondence will be entertained in this regard from any candidate or his/her agency.
6. Applications from employees working in Government Departments, Public Sector Undertakings, Central Universities and Government funded Research Agencies will be considered only if forwarded through proper channel with a clear certificate that in case of selection, the applicant will be relieved within one month of receipt of offer of appointment.
7. The posts carry usual allowances as admissible to Central Government employees as made applicable to CSIR employees of the same pay and status stationed at this Institute.

9. The selected candidates shall be required to acquire the knowledge of Hindi during the period of probation, if not already possessing the same.
10. The service is pensionable based on defined contribution under the “New Pension Scheme” as made applicable to Council employees w.e.f. 1.1.2004. However, persons selected from other Government Departments / Autonomous Bodies / Public Sector Undertakings / Central Universities having Pension Scheme on GOI pattern and who are presently being governed by old Pension Scheme will continue to be governed by the existing Pension Scheme i.e. CCS (Pension) Rules, 1972.
11. Applicants should send their applications in the prescribed Pro Forma (Annexure - I). The following documents should be attached with application duly completed in all respects:
(a) Attested copies of the testimonials and Experience certificates
(b) Attested copy of the Caste certificate (in case of SC/ST/OBC) in the appropriate Pro Forma prescribed by the Government of India from time to time.
(c) Attested copy of the Medical certificate (in case of Physically Handicapped candidates) from the prescribed authority in the prescribed format.
(d) Attested copy of the Discharge Book/Certificate (in case of Ex-Servicemen candidates).
