Emoluments and other benefits:

The emoluments for the post of Medical Officer include basic pay, dearness allowances, non-practicing allowance, perquisites and other facilities such as medical facility for self and family, provident fund, gratuity etc., as admissible as per rules of the company. In addition, House Rent will be paid only where company accommodation is not available.  

The emoluments for the post of Paramedical Staff on confirmation after 2 years of training will include basic pay, dearness allowance, reimbursement of local travelling expenses and other facilities such as  such as medical facility for self and family, provident fund, gratuity, LTC etc., as admissible as per rules of the company. In addition, House Rent allowance will be paid only where company accommodation is not available. 

General Information:

1. Reservation for different category of candidates will be as per Presidential Directives.
2. There is age relaxation of 5 years for SC/ST candidates and 3 years for OBC candidates and 10 years for PWD candidates on production of Caste Certificate/disability certificate (for PWD candidates) issued by Competent Authority in the prescribed format as given in the website (as applicable) at the time of interview. The OBC certificate including creamy layer status should have been issued in the current financial year (not earlier than financial year 12-13). OBC candidates belonging to creamy layer should indicate their category as ‘General’ and are not entitled to any relaxation / reservation.
3. Bokaro Steel Plant reserves the right to reject the applications that are not complete or do not conform to the eligibility requirements and no communication in this regard will be made to the applicants.
4. Candidates employed in Govt. departments/PSUs/Autonomous Bodies will have to produce NOC at the time of interview.
5. Candidates should retain a photocopy of their Pay in Slip and Registration Slip as they can be asked to produce it for future reference.
6. PH reservation on horizontal basis applicable for candidates having more than 40% disability. In case of post of Medical Officers, reservation is applicable for Orthopedically Handicapped candidates (OL: One Leg affected, OA: one arm affected). For posts of Paramedical staff at Sl.No.01-06, reservation is applicable for Hearing Handicapped (PD: Partially Deaf) candidates with a minimum of 40 % disability.
7. At the time of Interview, if the certificates brought by the candidates are not written in English or Hindi they should be accompanied with translated English/Hindi copies and the same should be attested by Gazetted officer.
8. All correspondence with candidates shall be done through e-mail only. All information regarding examination schedule/admit card/ interview call letters etc. shall be provided through email/uploading on SAIL website. Responsibility of receiving, downloading and printing of admit card/interview call/ any other information shall be of the candidate. SAIL will not be responsible for any loss of email sent, due to invalid/wrong email ID provided by the candidate or for delay/not receipt of information if a candidates fails to access his/her mail/website in time.
9. Candidates are not required to send any document to SAIL. The candidates will be allowed to appear in the Written Test /Interview only if they possess the valid Photo Admit Card which will be available for download from the SAIL website as per schedule indicated below.
10. The vacancies shown above are provisional and liable to be increased or decreased or may even be reduced to nil; in which case Bokaro Steel Plant/ SRU, is not liable to compensate the applicant for the consequential damage.
11. If the candidates do not fulfil any of the conditions given in the Employment Notice his/her candidature will be cancelled at any stage whenever the discrepancy is noticed.
12. The advertisement is available at SAIL website www.sail.co.in. Any subsequent changes if made in this advertisement/employment notice, shall be communicated thru this website only. Candidates are advised to keep themselves updated of the changes if any.
13. In case of any dispute, the case shall be settled in the Courts of Bokaro Steel City only.
14. Candidates trying to use influence or unfair means will be disqualified from selection.
15. Selection of candidates is subject to being found medically fit by the Medical Officer of the Company as per prescribed rules of the company.

f)         The Pay-in-Slip is to be downloaded from the website after filling in the required details.

g)        Candidates should have latest passport size photograph as well as photograph of signatures and pay-in slip (after payment has been made) in digital format (.jpg or jpeg file only, of less than 500 kb size) for uploading with the application form.

h)        Candidate must write his/her name as it appears in the Matriculation or equivalent examination Certificate. In case of change of name at a later stage necessary documentary proof to be submitted at the time of interview.

i)          While filling on-line application the candidate must carefully follow all the steps. Incomplete application /application without fee /application not fulfilling any eligibility criteria will be summarily rejected. No communication will be entertained from applicants in this regard.

j)          After applying online, candidate is required to download the system generated Pay-in slip/Registration Slip with unique registration number and other essential details. 

MODE OF PAYMENT OF APPLICATION/PROCESSING FEE

State Bank of India has been authorized to collect the application fee/ processing fee, in a specially opened account (SBI Power Jyoti A/c No. 31877168126 maintained by at SBI sector 4, B.S.City branch), on behalf of SAIL/Bokaro Steel Plant. Candidate has to approach the nearby SBI branch with a printout of the pay-in-slip which is available on the Application Registration Portal. The pay-in-slip printed from the Portal only should be used for depositing the fee for proper crediting of amount in the allocated account. On receipt of the money the concerned branch of SBI will issue a unique Journal Number and a Branch Code of the branch collecting the money. This Journal Number and the Branch Code are to be filled up by the candidate during online registration. SAIL will not be responsible, in case the candidate deposits the fee in a wrong account. There will not be any other mode of collection of registration fee. Also please note that an amount of Rs. 20/- will be paid by the candidate as Bank Charges to the collection branch of SBI in addition to the applicable registration/processing fee. The SBI branches will accept the fee from 10.00 AM of the starting date to 5.00 PM of the closing date of submission of online application. Fee once paid will not be refunded under any circumstances. Candidates are therefore requested to verify their eligibility before paying the application/processing fee.
