ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA AND DETAILS FOR VACANT POSITIONS
Teaching
1. PROFESSOR
(Rs. 40890 + 10000 AGP)
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
A. (i) An eminent scholar with Ph.D. qualification in the concerned /allied / relevant and
published work of high quality, actively engaged in research with evidence of published
work with a minimum of 10 publications as books and/or research / policy papers.
(ii) A minimum of 10 years of teaching experience in university/college, and/or
experience in research at the University/National Level institutions/industries,
including experience of guiding candidates for research at doctoral level;
(iii) Contribution to educational innovation, design of new curricula and
courses, and technology – mediated teaching learning process.
(iv) A minimum score as stipulated in the Academic Performance Indicator
(API) based on Performance Based Appraisal System (PBAS) developed by UGC in
the Regulations dated 30.06.2010.
OR
B. An outstanding professional with established reputation in the relevant field who has
made significant contribution to knowledge in the concerned / allied / relevant
discipline, to be substantiated by credentials.
2. READER (ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR)
(Rs. 22320 + 8000 AGP)
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
i. Good academic record with a Ph.D. degree in the concerned disciplines i.e. in
Hindi.
ii. 55% of the marks, or equivalent grade wherever grading system is followed
at the Master’s degree level.
iii. A minimum of eight years of experience of teaching and / or research in an
academic / research position equivalent to that of Assistant Professor in a University /
College or Accredited Research Institution/industry excluding the period of Ph.D.
research with evidence of published work and a minimum of 5 publications as books
and/or research/policy papers.
iv. Contribution to educational innovation, design of new curricula and courses,
and technology – mediated teaching learning process with evidence of having guided
doctoral candidates and research students.
v. A minimum score as stipulated in the Academic Performance Indicator (API)
based Performance Based Appraisal System (PBAS) developed by UGC in the new
Regulations dated 30.06.2010.
3. LECTRURER (ASSISTANT PROFESSOR)
(Rs. 15600 + 6000 AGP)
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
i. Good academic record as defined by the concerned university with at least
55% of the marks or equivalent grade where grading system is practiced at the
Master’s degree level in Hindi from an Indian University, or an equivalent degree from
an accredited foreign university.
ii. Besides fulfilling the above qualifications, the candidate should have cleared
the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC, CSIR or similar test
accredited by the UGC like SLET/SET.
iii. Notwithstanding anything contained in sub-clauses (i) and (ii), candidates,
who are, or have been awarded a Ph.D. Degree in accordance with the University
Grants Commission (Minimum Standards and Procedure for Award of Ph.D. Degree)
Regulations, 2009, shall be exempted from the requirement of the minimum eligibility
conditions of NET/SLET/SET for recruitment and appointment of Assistant Professor
or equivalent positions in Universities/Colleges/Institutions.
iv. NET/SLET/SET shall also not be required for such Masters Programmes in
disciplines for which NET/SLET/SET is not conducted.
TERMS AND CONDITIONS
The period of appointment of all posts in the advertisement mentioned is temporary
in nature and on tenure basis till the end of the XII Plan period i.e. 31-03-2017.
1. Application should be in the prescribed form.
2. Attested copies of certificates in evidence of age, community, (for SC/ST/BC/Ph
candidates only), educational qualifications and experience should be enclosed
with the application.
3. Candidates applying for more than one post should apply separately for each
post. Application is not transferable.
4. Persons who are already employed should send their applications through proper
channel. Advance copy may be sent directly. However, in such cases the
candidates called for interview shall have to produce a No Objection certificate or
the original application duly forwarded by the competent authority, failing which
they shall not be allowed to appear before the selection committee.
5. Two passport size photographs of the candidate should be enclosed, out of which
one should be affixed in the application form and attested by a responsible officer.
6. Completed application with required documents should be sent along with the
registration fee (non-refundable) of Rs.250/- (for general) (for SC/ST candidates
Rs.50/-on production of community certificate from the competent authority) by the
Demand Draft dated not earlier than the date of the advertisement and payable at
Andhra Bank, S.V. Puram, S.K.University-515 003, Andhra Pradesh.
7. Applications received without the registration fee shall be rejected.
8. Incomplete applications will be summarily rejected and applications received late will
not at all be considered under any circumstances and no further correspondence will
be made in this regard. The University will not be responsible for any postal delay.
9. Original certificates should not be sent along with the applications. If sent, the
University is in no way responsible for any possible loss.
10. Original certificates should be produced at the time of interview for verification.
11. Before dispatching the application to the University, the applicant should make
note of the application number for the purpose of reference.
12. If there is any discrepancy between the information furnished in the application
and the supporting documents, such applications will be summarily rejected.
13. Canvassing in any form will disqualify the candidate.
14. The name of the post applied for shall be superscripted on the envelope.
15. Applicants for the post of Professor should submit their bio-data and four sets of reprints of three
major publications, of which one could be a book or research report along with each application.
16. Applicants for the post of Reader should submit their bio-data and four sets of reprints of
three major publications along with each application.
17. No TA/DA will be paid to the candidates called for interview.
18. The University reserves the right to:
· To fill up/not to fill up any or all of the above posts;
· Relax the desirable qualifications in case of otherwise deserving candidates;
· Restrict the number of candidates to be called for interview to a reasonable level;
· Restrict the period of tenure prescribed.
19. An applicant cannot claim call for interview or appointment as a matter or right just
because/he/she is an applicant for the post.
20. Selected candidates have to enter into a contract with the University regarding the
tenure of the posts.
NOTE
1. A relaxation of 5% from 55% of the marks at the Master’s level will be given for the SC/ST
category and Physically handicapped persons.
2. A relaxation of 5% to 50% of the marks at the relevant PG level will be given for Ph.D
degree holders who passed their Master’s degree prior to 19th September, 1991.
3. B in the 7 point scale with letter grade O,A,B,C,D,E and F shall regarded as equivalent of
55% wherever the grading system is followed.
4. NET shall remain compulsory requirement for appointment as Lecturer even for those with postgraduate
degree. However, candidates who have completed M.Phil degree upto 31st December
1993 or heave submitted Ph.D thesis to the University in the concerned subject on or before
31st December 2002 are exempted from appearing in the NET examination. In case such
candidates fail to obtain Ph.D degree, they shall have to pass the NET examination.
5. The minimum requirement of 55% shall not be insisted upon for Professor and Readers for the
existing incumbents who are already in the university system. However, these marks should be
insisted upon for those entering the system from outside and those at the entry point of Lecturers.
6. A relaxation of the minimum marks at the PG level from 55% to 50% for appointment as
Lecturer may be provided to the candidates who have cleared the JRF examination
conducted by UGC/CSIR only prior to 1989, when the minimum marks required to appear
for JRF exam were 50%.
