Educational Requirements: A basic University or equivalent qualification included in any one of the Schedules to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 (102 of 1956) and must be registered in a State Medical Register or Indian Medical Register
Qualifications: M.D. (Pathology/Ph.D. (Pathology)/D.Sc. (Pathology) from a recognized University/ Institution or equivalent.
Experience Requirements: Three years teaching experience in the concerned speciality after acquiring postgraduate qualification as Lecturer/Registrar/Senior Resident/Demonstrator/Tutor in a recognized Medical College/Teaching Institution.

The Application Fee in the shape of Bank Draft for a sum of Rs.500/- (Rupees Five
Hundred Only) in the case of General Category and Other Backward Class candidates and
Rs.250/- (Rupees Two Hundred Fifty Only) for the Scheduled Castes candidates, in favour of
the Director Principal, Government Medical College & Hospital, Sector-32, Chandigarh, payable
at Chandigarh must accompany the application for the post/each post. Application received
without prescribed fee will be summarily rejected. Fee once remitted shall not be refunded.
7. OTHER TERMS AND CONDITIONS:
(i) The number of post(s) are tentative and liable to increase or decrease for different
category, as per requirement.
(ii) The applications should be submitted in a prescribed proforma and the
discipline/subject for which the application is being submitted needs to be indicated clearly. The
applications that are not submitted in the prescribed format will not be considered.
(iii) Incomplete/unsigned applications and application received without fee, photograph,
self attested copies of required certificates such as educational qualifications, experience, age,
caste/community certificate etc. and those received after the prescribed last date of receipt of
applications will be summarily rejected without any communication to the candidate.
(iv) The applications received by post directly beyond the last date of receipt of
applications will not be entertained under any circumstances. This institute will not be
responsible for delay/late delivery by the postal department.
(v) The candidates will be called for interview based on their eligibility. However, the
decision of the competent authority as to their eligibility or otherwise of a candidature for
interview or selection will be the final and no correspondence/personal enquiries will be
entertained.
(vi) The posts are to be filled up on whole time basis and private practice of any kind is
prohibited.
(vii) The candidates must ensure that the following documents should be attached with
their Application Proforma: -
(a) Two copies of recent passport size photographs with one photograph pasted on
the Application Form.
(b) Self attested copies of certificates and testimonials in proof of educational
qualifications, date of birth, experience, caste certificate etc.
(c) Attested copies of Caste/Community certificate in the prescribed format in case of
candidate belonging to SC/OBC category and the case of OBC category, the
certificate should have the clause of non-creamy layer.
(d) The Application Fee in the shape of Bank Draft for a sum of Rs.500/- (Rupees Five
Hundred Only) in the case of General Category and Other Backward Class
candidates and Rs.250/- (Rupees Two Hundred Fifty Only) for the Scheduled Castes
candidates, in favour of the Director Principal, Government Medical College &
Hospital, Sector-32, Chandigarh, payable at Chandigarh.
(e) No Travelling Allowance/Daily Allowance/Conveyance Allowance will be paid to
the candidates, who are called for the interview.
