Essential Qualifications: Besides having thorough knowledge of Hindi in Devnagari Script, the post wise
essential qualification shall be as followsDy. Chief Personnel Officer
Applicant should have Post Graduate Degree/Diploma in HR/Industrial Relations and Personnel
Management/Social Works/Business Administration from a recognized University/Institution with minimum 10
years experience of various functions in Human Resource Management and industrial relation in a
PSU/Organization.
The incumbents would be responsible for Manpower Planning, Recruitment, Establishment Matters, Salary and
Wage Administration, Implementing Corporate Personnel Policies, IR Matters etc. and other duties assigned by the
Management from time to time.
Sr. Law Officer
Applicant should be Graduate in Law from a recognized institute of repute with minimum 7 Years of experience in
the Legal Department of a PSU /organization/as Practicing lawyer [after registration in Bar Council] and having
experience of dealing with various Consumer Related Matters in Consumer Forums/Regulatory Commission
/Service Tribunal/Labour Court/various Courts etc.
The incumbents would be responsible to provide assistance in all legal matters specifically related to Electricity
Law, Contract Act, Consumer and Labour Laws, finalization of Deeds, Agreements, PPA, Legal matters related to
Electricity Regulatory Commission/ Ombudsman/Electricity Appellate tribunal, cases in Hon’ble Supreme/High
Court /Consumer Courts and other duties assigned by the Management from time to time.
 Law Officer
Applicant should be Graduate in Law from a recognized institute of repute with minimum 5 Years of experience in
the Legal Department of a PSU/organization/as Practicing lawyer [after registration in Bar Council] and having

Accounts Officer
Applicant should possess professional Degree of Chartered Accountant/ICWA/MBA in Finance with minimum two
years of relevant post qualification experience in a PSU/Organization.
The incumbents would be responsible for managing Treasury, Budget, MIS, Commercial Work & Store Accounts
at Corporate Level and Field Units.
General Instructions:
1 Hands on working experience in a computerized environment is essential for all the above positions.
2. Selection to the posts of Dy. Chief Personnel Officer & Sr. Law Officer will be done on the basis of Interviews
only of Eligible Shortlisted candidates.
3. Selection to the posts of Law Officer & Accounts Officer will be done on the basis of subjective & objective
Written Examinations in the concerned subjects followed by Interviews of Shortlisted candidates on the basis of
qualifying criteria (40 % marks for General Category, 30 % for SC Category in both the papers separately) in the
written examination.
UTTARAKHAND POWER CORPORATION LTD.4. Relaxation in the Upper Age Limit will be admissible to the Reserved Category Candidates of Uttarakhand State
against the Reserved Post only as per the prevailing orders of Government of Uttarakhand. Reservation/Age
relaxation will not be admissible if the requisite certificate issued by the Competent Authority of Uttarakhand State
is not attached with the application.
5. Horizontal Reservation will be applicable as per the prevailing orders of Government of Uttarakhand.
6. Applications should be filled and submitted by the candidate in his/her own handwriting in English CAPITAL
LETTERS only on A4 size paper in the prescribed format given below.
7. A self attested recent pass port size photograph of candidate should be pasted in the space provided on the
application form and two identical passport size photographs should be retained by the candidate for future use.
8. The question paper for the written examination (wherever applicable) would be bilingual (Hindi/English). In case
of any discrepancy English Version will be relied.
9. Applicant should enclose following documents alongwith the application.
a. Attested copies of date of birth certificate.
b. Attested copies of mark-sheet and degree of the qualifying examination.
c. Attested copies of all documents in support of experience.
d. Attested copies of caste certificate issued by the Competent authority of Uttarakhand State failing which
candidate shall be treated as General Category Candidate. Reserved category candidates of other states will be
treated and should fill up application as General Category. They should submit the Demand Draft(wherever
applicable) applicable to General category only.
e. A crossed demand draft, only for the post of Law Officer & Accounts Officer (non-refundable processing fee)
of Rs. 400/- only (for SC-Category of Uttarakhand State Rs. 200 only) in favour of EE(HQ),UPCL payable at
Dehradun from a scheduled bank. Candidate must write his/her Name and post/post code on the back of the
Demand Draft. No other mode of payment shall be acceptable.
10. Candidates serving in Govt./Quasi-Govt. Deptt. shall have to produce No Objection Certificate at the time of
interview which should also clearly indicate that there is no vigilance/disciplinary enquiry/case pending against
him/her.
11. Corporation shall not be responsible for application lost in transit. No correspondence/enquiry in this regard
shall be entertained.
12. Merely fulfilling the job specification shall not entitle a candidate for Written exam/Interview.
13. Applications incomplete in any respect will not be considered.
14. Application in the prescribed format completed in all respect should be sent by Registered/Speed post or
Courier only at the address given below upto 3.6.2013 superscribing the envelope "Application for the post of
