Job/Candidates Profile:
Candidates are expected to have knowledge in Shipbuilding activities from design to delivery,
experience in managing various Marine Coatings and their application, Destructive and Non
Destructive test procedures to verify quality, quality standards for coating application, practical
knowledge in resolving quality related issues in shipbuilding, knowledge and experience of IMO
PSPC& other existing & upcoming regulations, ability to bring in place a coating quality manual for
Shipyard, compliance of IMS for quality, communication skills in English, Hindi and knowledge in
Malayalam will be an added advantage, ability to maintain good relationship with clients, statutory
authorities, and coordination with other departments. The incumbent will also be responsible for
analysing the existing paint quality standards in shipyard and fixing a benchmark, design and
implement quality levels and ensure conformity in standards, training and leading the team, to provide
assistance to the Design department to review the paint schemes.
