Indian Council of Philosophical Research, an Autonomous Organization fully
funded by Govt. of India, Ministry of Human Resource Development, invites
applications for the following posts :
1.Member Secretary (01 post) – Pay Band of (PB-4)Rs.37,400-67,000 + Grade Pay of
Rs.8900. Age – Not below 45 years.
Method of Recruitment: Direct/deputation/transfer. The term of the appointment
shall be 3 years, extendable by another term of 3 years, subject to the condition that
no person will continue as Member Secretary on attaining the age of 60 years.
Essential Qualifications and Experience :
(i) In case of Direct Recruitment : Eminent scholar in the field of Philosophy with
several years of research/academic and administrative experience.
(ii) In case of deputation/transfer : A Professor in a University or a scholar with
at least 15 years of experience of teaching/research with experience of
administration.
Place of Posting : New Delhi.
2. Director (Administration & Finance) (01 post) – (unreserved), Pay Band of (PB-3)
Rs.15,600-39,100 + Grade Pay of Rs.7600. Age – Not above 50 years (relaxable for 5
years for employees of Central and State Governments, Universities and Autonomous
Bodies)
Method of Recruitment : By transfer on deputation, failing which by direct
recruitment.
Essential Qualifications and Experience :
(i) In case of transfer on deputation : Bachelor’s Degree of a recognized
university with good academic record. Officer of Central or State Governments or
Universities, Research Institutions, Autonomous Bodies, Public Enterprises etc,
in equivalent grade or at least with 5 years service in the grade of Rs.10,000-
325-15,200 (pre-revised pay scale) and above and having experience of
Administration and Finance.
(ii) In case of Direct Recruitment : At least 10 years experience of Administration
and Finance out of which 5 years experience should be in a post not lower than
the scale of pay of Rs.10,000-325-15,200 (pre-revised pay scale) in Central or
State Governments or Universities, Research Institutions, Autonomous Bodies,
Public Enterprises etc.
Place of Posting : New Delhi.
Age relaxation to SC/ST/OBC and Physically Handicapped candidates shall be as per
the Govt. rules.

each post. Envelope containing the application should be marked with the post
applied for.

publication of the advertisement.
