Pediatrics, Room No. 218 one ICMR funded ad-hoc project: "Childhood obesity in India: a Multicentre
study on its measurement and determinants with reference to the cardio-metabolic risk factors" for the
following post:
Name of Post: Research Scientist 1 (Medical) -1 post
Duration of appointment: 3 months
Type of appointment: Contractual
Salary: @Rs. 63772- + NPA + HRA (Total consolidated monthly pay: Rs. 66672/-)
Work Institution: Dept of Pediatric Disciplines, NEIGRIHMS,Shiliong
Eligibility criteria: a) MBBS from MCI recognized institution
Experience: i) 3 years experience in relevant areas in recognized institute
ii) Knowledge on research methodologies is desirable
Job Profile: Will carry out the field work and responsible for data collection, measurement of clinical
parameters and other survey related data, supervising the correct entry and record of data and sample
collection and safe transport the laboratory. Will also be responsible for follow up of subjects for any
additional interventions required within the project scope. Quality assurance - scrutinize and ensure
completion of all schedules, complete instruments, check transcription and translation: Oversee and
help implementation ofthe project work in the field as well as in the hospital site; and any other project
work delegated by the PI
General Information:
1. Minimum age limit is 25 years, maximum age limit is 45 years
2. The date of determination of eligibility with regard to age, educational qualification and
experience will be the date of interview.
3. Candidates who do not fulfill the criteria will not be allowed to appear for the interview under
any circumstances
4. The recruitment is purely on temporary basis for the specified period of project and is on
contractual basis.
5. No accommodation will be provided
6. The terms and conditions of the appointments shall be governed by the contractual bond of the
agreement agreed upon by this office and the employee concerned
7. No TA/DA will be paid for appearing in the interview.
8. Candidates are requested to report at 1.pm at Room No. 218 for registration and interview.
