Educational Requirements: Three years Bachelor degree in Sciences (Veterinary/Zoology/Microbiology) from a recognized university with DMLT/certificate of one year duration or one year documented laboratory experience in animal handling.
Experience Requirements: Additional 1 year documented experience in handling of small animals and /or course certificate of small animal handling from reputed CPCSEA approved institute.

Applications are invited up-to 16th May 2013 for the following posts as detailed below :-
1. Technical Assistant– Two Posts (1 Post-UR, 1 Post- Reserved for OBC)
(Pay Band-2 Rs.9,300-34,800 plus grade pay Rs.4200/-)
Qualification & Experience :
Essential :- Three years Bachelor degree in Sciences (Veterinary/Zoology/Microbiology) from a
recognized university with DMLT/certificate of one year duration or one year documented
laboratory experience in animal handling.
Desirable: Additional 1 year documented experience in handling of small animals and /or course
certificate of small animal handling from reputed CPCSEA approved institute.
2. Technician-C– Four Posts (2 Posts-UR, 2 Posts- Reserved for OBC)
(Pay Band-1 Rs.5,200-20,200 plus grade pay Rs.2800/-)
Qualification & Experience :
Essential: 10+2 with Science subjects or equivalent from a recognized board with DMLT/certificate
of one year duration or one year documented laboratory experience in animal handling.
Desirable: Additional 1 year documented experience in handling of small animals in reputed
institute and /or course certificate of small animal handling from reputed CPCSEA approved
institute. Candidates having Biology as subjects in 10+2 will be preferred.
3. Technician-A– One Post (UR)
(Pay Band-1 Rs.5,200-20,200 plus grade pay Rs.1900/-)
Qualification & Experience :
Essential: 10+2 with Science subjects or equivalent from a recognized board with one year
Certificate in laboratory related work.
Desirable: Knowledge of computer applications and additional laboratory/research field experience.
Age limit :- i) Technical Assistant Post: 30 years, ii) Technician-C Post: 30 years iii) Technician-A
Post : 28 years. Government servant/in service candidates will be allowed 5 years relaxation,
SC/ST, OBC, Ex-Servicemen and PWDs will be allowed relaxation as per GOI rules applicable from
time to time. Age will be reckoned as on 17-05-2013.
ii) OBC candidates are directed to submit the caste certificate as per GOI instructions latest by 3
years old as on date of publication of this notification and issued by competent authority in the
prescribed format (Appendix-3) “Form of Certificate to be produced by other backward classes
applying for appointment to posts under the Government of India . ”

iii) Candidates working (as on the date of notification) on Long Term Projects in ICMR
Institutes/Centres will be given “One time” age relaxation.
Note : UR – Unreserved, SC/ST – Scheduled Castes/Tribes, OBC – Other Backward Classes,
PWDs – Persons with Disabilities.
General conditions :
1. Allowances as per Central Govt. rules are admissible. Benefits of New restructured defined
contributory Pension system are admissible as per the provision contained in the Ministry of
Finance, Department of Economic Affairs (ECB & PR Division), Notification No.5/7/2003-ECB &
PR dated 22.12.2003 effective from 1.1.2004.

3. Incomplete and late applications or those without required copies of certificates will not be
entertained. The Director, RMRCT reserve the right to reject the applications or to cancel the
notification without assigning any reasons thereof. Only short-listed candidates will be called for
test/interview and no correspondence will be entertained in this regard.
4. Applications from employees working in the Central/State Govt. Departments, Public Sector
Undertaking and Govt. funded research agencies must be forwarded through proper channel.
Any canvassing by or on behalf of the candidates or to bring political or other outside
influence with regard to selection/recruitment shall be a disqualification.
