1. Technician ‘B’ (Laboratory): 01 post
2. Technician B (Instrumentation): 01 post
3. Technician B (Maintenance): 01 post
4. Assistant Technician (Instrumentation): 02 Posts
5. Assistant Technician (Maintenance): 02 Posts

Age Limit: Candidates maximum age limit should not exceed 30 years. Age relaxation will be applicable as per the rules.

Educational Qualifications: Candidates should possess 12th Pass with Science with two years full time Diploma in MLT for Sr. No. 1 post, Diploma in Engineering with 3 years experience or matric plus ITI certificate in relevant trade for Sr. No. 2, 3 posts, ITI certificate in respective trade for Sr. No. 4 & 5 posts.

Application Fee: A Demand draft of Rs. 100/- (excluding SC/ST/PH candidates) towards the cost of application, drawn in favour of Director, National Centre for Cell Science, should be attached with the application form.

Selection Process: Candidates will be selected based on the performance in interview.

Applications are invited for the following posts to be filled at NCCS, Pune.
1. Technician ‘B’ (Laboratory) : One Post- ST, Pay Band No. 1 of Rs. 5200-20200 with Grade Pay of Rs. 2800/-
(TME Rs. 24563/-) Age limit : 30 years. Qualification & Experience: Essential : 12th Pass with Science with
two years full time Diploma in MLT having 7 years experience in the R & D Laboratory OR B. Sc. with 3 years
experience. Desirable : Experience in handling analytical instruments such as HPLC, GC, MS, GC-MS.
Candidates having experience in operating mass spectrometry instruments such a LC-ESI-MS/MS and MALDIMS/
MS will be preferred.
2. Technician B (Instrumentation) : One Post - ST, Pay Band No. 1 of Rs. 5200-20200 with Grade Pay of Rs.
2800/- (TME Rs. 24563/-) Age limit : 30 years. Qualification & Experience: Essential : Diploma in
Engineering with 3 years experience or matric plus ITI certificate in trade with 15 years experience in trade or
AMIE / Degree in Engineering. Desirable : Candidates having maintenance / development experience in
Biological / Pathological / Medical / Analytical Labs or Process Control Instruments.
3. Technician B (Maintenance) : One Post - UR, Pay Band No. 1 of Rs. 5200-20200 with Grade Pay of Rs. 2800/-
(TME Rs. 24563/-) Age limit : 30 years. Qualification & Experience: Essential : Diploma in Engineering with
3 years experience or matric plus ITI certificate in trade with 15 years experience in trade or AMIE / Degree in
Engineering. Desirable : Experience in Industry / Company of maintenance and servicing of various types of
Air Conditioning and refrigeration systems / equipment viz. Central A. C. Plant, VRV/VRF with BMS etc. cold
rooms, deep freezers, split A.C. etc. converse with Computer application will be preferred.
4. Assistant Technician (Instrumentation) : Two Posts : (2 Posts - UR), Pay Band No. 1 of Rs. 5200-20200 with
Grade Pay of Rs. 1900/- (TME Rs. 15874/-) Age limit : 30 years. Qualification & Experience: Essential : ITI
certificate in respective trade with 1 year experience or VII pass with minimum 10 years experience in the
respective trade. Desirable : Candidates having maintenance / development experience in Biological /
Pathological / Medical / Analytical Labs or Process Control Instruments.
5. Assistant Technician (Maintenance) : Two Posts : (1-OBC, 1-SC), Pay Band No. 1 of Rs. 5200-20200 with
Grade Pay of Rs. 1900/- (TME Rs. 15874/-) Age limit : 30 years. Qualification & Experience: Essential : ITI
certificate in respective trade with 1 year experience or VII pass with minimum 10 years experience in the
respective trade. Desirable : For Post No. 1. Mechanic Refrigeration and Air Conditioning : Having experience
in repairing and servicing of various types of A.C. and refrigeration equipments. For post No. 2. Fitter : Having
experience in Industry / Laboratory as maintenance fitter for servicing and repairing various utility equipments.

Notes :
1. Total Monthly Emoluments (TME) includes Transport Allowance and HRA as per rules.
2. Age relaxation will be available to SC/ST/OBC/PH candidates as per Government of India
rules.
3. A demand draft of Rs. 100/- (excluding SC/ST/PH candidates) towards the cost of
application, drawn in favour of Director, National Centre for Cell Science, should be
attached with the application form.
4. Applications received after the due date and / or without the copies of the required
certificates and the DD will not be considered.
5. Experience mentioned should have gathered by the candidate after acquisition of the
essential qualifications.
6. Higher start in basic pay may be considered in case of meritorious and outstanding
candidates.
7. Candidates working in Government Departments / Public Sector Undertakings /
Autonomous Bodies should forward their applications through proper channel.
8. Outstation SC/ST candidates called for interview will be paid to and fro second class
railway fare for attending the interview as admissible under Govt. of India rules, on
production of the proof of the same.
9. Age limit and experience may be relaxed in exceptional cases with permission of the
Competent Authority.
10. The appointments for all the posts excluding deputation, will be made initially on contract
for a period of 5 years with a probation period of 1 year, which may be extended. The
performance will be reviewed on completion of 4 years and further continuation of
appointment will depend on the performance during this period.
11. The posts advertised shall be need based without any commitment for its filling.
12. The selected candidates shall be required to work on weekly offs / holidays, if need be.
13. Mere fulfilling the minimum prescribed qualifications and experience will not vest any
right in a candidate for calling for interview. The Centre reserves the right to call for
interview only those candidates who in its opinion are likely to be suitable. No any
correspondence will be entertained in this regard.
14. The Director, NCCS reserves the right to enhance / reduce the number of posts and also to
cancel the recruitment process.
15. Canvassing in any form and / or bringing in any influence will be treated as
disqualification for the post.
16. No interim inquiries will be entertained.
17. Superscribe the Name and Sr. No. of the post applied for, on the envelope.
