Pay Scale	PAY SCALE Rs.9,300-34,800/- PB-2 plus Rs. 4,600/- Grade Pay 72 per cent 30,000/- approx. Total emoluments excluding T.A. HRA at the time of initial appointment will be Rs.30,000/-p.m. approximately.
Age	AGE Not exceeding 30 years as on normal closing date. Not exceeding 35 years for Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes candidates and not exceeding 33 years for Other Backward Classes candidates as on normal closing date in respect of the vacancies reserved for them. Relaxable for regularly appointed Central/U.T. Government Servant upto Five years as per instructions/orders issued by Govt. of India from time to time. Essential Qualificaiton (s)	A. EDUCATIONAL Master’s Degree in Agriculture or Botany or Agricultural Economics or Agricultural Marketing or Economics or Commerce with Economics from a recognized University. B. EXPERIENCE 2 years’ experience in the field of Agricultural Marketing including Cooperative Marketing. OR Diploma in Marketing Management awarded by the Indian Institute of Food Technology or any other recognized University/Institute or equivalent. Experience of Government, Semi Government, Cooperatives, Autonomous bodies, Public Sector Undertakings, Nationalized and Private Banks, Marketing Boards, Public Limited National/Multinational companies involved in Agricultural Marketing activities viz. Market Research, Market Information System, Market Regulation, Commodity Trading, Quality Control and Warehouse Management of Agricultural Commodities will be considered. Note-I The qualifications are relaxable at Commission’s discretion in case of candidates otherwise well qualified. Note-II The qualification regarding experience are relaxable at Commission’s discretion in the case of candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and Physically Handicapped in respect of posts reserved for them, if at any stage of selection, the Union Public Service Commission is of the opinion that sufficient number of candidates from these communities possessing the requisite experience are not likely to be available to fill up the posts reserved for them.
Desirable Qualificaiton (s)
Duty(ies)	1. To assist in the work relating to grading and quality control of agricultural commodities including formulation of grades and grade standards. 2. To assist in conducting research studies pertaining to emerging problems of marketing of agricultural produce and drafting of technical reports. 3. Investigation and survey at field level of marketing conditions in respect of Agricultural Commodities and to collect, compile interpret the relevant data.
Probation	Two years
Head Quarter	Anywhere in India.
Other Details	General Central Service, Group ‘B’, Gazetted, Non-Ministerial. The posts are permanent.
