Institute of Life Sciences (ILS), Bhubaneswar, an autonomous Institute of the

Department of Biotechnology, Ministry of Science & Technology, Government of

India is an emerging multidisciplinary institute engaged in advanced research invites

applications from Indian Nationals to join in the following posts in DBT sponsored

project entitled “Identification of Genetic Susceptibility to Chronic or Recurrent

Otitis Media with Effusion”.

1. Junior Research Fellow: One Post

Fellowship: Rs. 12,000 p.m. + 20% HRA (Rs. 16,000 p.m. + 20% HRA for NETJRF/

UGC/ICMR/DBT/INSPIRE qualified). Qualification: Master’s degree or

equivalent with 60% aggregate marks in any branch of Life Sciences,

Human/Medical Genetics, Biotechnology, Molecular Biology, Microbiology,

Biochemistry are eligible to apply. Candidate having research experience in the

relevant field will be given preference. Age: up to 28 years

2. Social/Field Worker: One Post

Salary: Rs. 8,000/- (fixed). Qualification: Intermediate (10+2) with diploma in

medical laboratory technology (DMLT). Preference will be given to those who are

having BMLT and experience in R&D labs. Age: up to 28 years

Interested and eligible candidates may download application form from the website

Director, Institute of Life Sciences, Nalco Square, Bhubaneswar-751023 within

15 days from the date of publication in employment news. The positions are purely

temporary and co-terminous with the above project. The selected candidate for the

post of Junior Research Fellow will not be allowed to register for Ph.D. Only short

listed candidates will be called for an interview. No TA/DA will be paid for

attending the interview. The decision of the Director regarding selection of the

candidates will be final and no correspondence will be entertained in this regard.

Note: Name of the shortlisted candidates and date of interview will be displayed on

ILS website after one week from the closing date of submission of applications.
