Age Limit: Candidates age must possess 28 years for JRF post, 35 years for Office Asst & Technical Asst Post, 30 years for Lab Attendant, Jr Lab Attendant Post. Age relaxation is applicable as per rules.

Educational Qualification: Candidates must possess NET/GATE or equivalent as per specification of the funding agency concerned in PG with 55% marks for JRF Post, B.Sc/ HSC in science/ ITI Diploma with desired experience for Lab attendant post, B.Sc (with Physics as one of the subject) with  55% marks for Jr Las Asst Post, M.Sc/B.Sc (Physics) with experience in relevant field for Technical Asst post.

Selection Procedure: Candidates will be selected on the basis of Interview.

How to Apply: Eligible candidates may send their applications of Post A to Prof. Dhananjai Pandey, Co ordinator UPE, School of Material Sciences, Indian Institute of Technology (BHU) and for Post B send applications to the Head of the Department (Physics) and for Posts C send to the Head of the Department (Chemistry) clearly specifying the post for their application so as to reach by 25-03-2013.

Applications are invited for the positions of i Lab Attendant, 1 Junior Lab Assistant,2 Technical
Assistants and 1 Office Assistant in the project UGC UPE Focus Area II on fixed salary as
mentioned below sanctioned upto 2017. The post is purely temporary and coterminous with the
project. Essential and desirable qualifications are mentioned below. The upper age limit is 30
years with 5 year age relaxation for female SC/ST and physically handicapped. Age limit may
also be relaxed if the candidate has worked earlier in BHU. Application on Plain paper giving
Name, permanent and correspondence address, names of father and mother,
telephone no. and e-mail address, details of educational career (starting from High
School or equivalent) along with attested copies of all mark-sheets & certilicates and
details of any experience etc., if any, should reach within 21 days of the advertisement

Lab Attendant (1 Position) @ Rs. 10,570 Fixed
E.Q.: B.Sc./Higher Secondary Science (10+2 or equivalent) with 3 years experience /ITI
diploma with 2 years experience of working in a university/college/ or life science research
laboratory.
Junior Lab Assistant (1 Position) @ Rs. 10,570 Fixed
E.Q.: B.Sc. with at least 50% marks.
D.Q.: Experience of operating sophisticated equipment, knowledge of working in Biology
Research Laboratory and knowledge of computer usage.
Technical Assistant (2 position) @ Rs. 17,070 Fixed
E.Q.: M. Sc., or B.Sc. with four years experience of working in a life science research
laboratory/ diploma in Electronics/Electrical/Mechanical (Electronics) trade with three years
experience in a research laboratory.
Office Assistant (1 Position) @Rs. 11,630 Fixed
E.Q.: Graduation with second division with at least six months of training on the use of
Computer for Office Automation, Book keeping and word processing from a certified Institution
or Graduation with second division with Diploma in Computer application recognized by
AICTE.
