Sarba Shiksha Abhiyan Mission of Assam Government invites applications in prescribed form from eligible candidates for recruitment of Post Graduate Teachers for secondary schools in Assam. The recruitment will be done through Teachers Eligibility Test to be conducted in Feb, 2013. The Rules, Test Details & How to apply, Syllabus are as follows. The Candidates fulfilling the eligibility criteria as per Advertisement No RMSA/TET/143/2012 can apply for Teaching Jobs in Assam.

Name of the Post : Post Graduate Teacher

Total No. of Vacancies : 4500 Posts

Education Qualification : Candidates with BA / B.Sc / B.Com or any equivalent qualification with B.Ed / BT from recognized university can apply. The Teachers for languages like Hindi, Sanskrit, Assamese, Arabic, English, Manipuri etc should have a degree in respective subjects. Candidates not having B.Ed / B.T qualification can also apply. However if such candidates get selected, they have to complete the course before 2015.

Age Limit : As on 01.01.2012 Candidates age should not be more than 38 years. SC/ST Candidates have age relaxation of 5 years. i.e up to the age of 43 years can apply.

Selection Procedure : Teachers Eligibility Test – Personal Interview

Application Fees : Rs. 350/- (Rs. for SC/ST/PH/Ex-S) Payable at Post Office while obtaining Application Form.

Teacher’s Eligibility Test Pattern : The Assam TET 2013 consists of 200 question carrying 200 marks from General Studies & Current Affairs, Pedagogy & General English. The detailed syllabus is available at the following link.

How to Apply : Submitted in person at Post Office

• The prescribed OMR application form for SSA Assam TET will be available at designated Post Offices from 01st October 2012 to 10th October 2012.
• The interested candidates should obtain the application form within the stipulated time
• The filled in application should be submitted in any of the designated post office before 30th October 2012.

Important Dates :

• Starting Date of Issue of Application Form through Post Office : 1/10/12
• Last Date of issue of Application Form : 10/10/12
• Last date of Submission of Application form in Post Office : 30/10/12
• Issue of Admit Card through Post Office :by end of December, 2012
• Date of TET Examination : in Last week of  February, 2013
• Declaration of Result Tentatively by 20th March 2013
